Independent Surf-Retailers

We work with a small list of independent surf-retail shops so you can see our fins in person.

Our designs are tricky to CNC route, hard to hand-finish and use premium G10 fibreglass - meaning there's no profit margin in doing this for us.

But if everyone in the surf-industry goes solely online, we'll quickly lose cool businesses like these - which offer so much more than just racks of white foam.

Have a read below to meet all the characters supporting our tiny fin company, places you can make your own board and veritable libraries of premium sleds.

Aloha Surf Manly

Aloha Surf Manly

44 Pittwater Rd, Manly NSW 2095
+61 (02) 9977 3777

Aloha Surf has been a northern beaches staple for decades. But importantly, it's always remained independently owned. The reason we chose to work with Tim and his team is the way they put service over sales. You'll regularly see these guys testing new boards and putting together great reviews on Youtube. We've personally bought a few boards from Tim over the years and he always makes sure you leave with something that's genuinely suited to your ability and the waves you want to surf. This gives us confidence that if our fins are recommended it's because they suit the board you're riding.
Three Stories Fremantle

Three Stories Fremantle

105 High St, Fremantle WA 6160
(08) 9335 1289

Three Stories is a dead-set gem of a surf shop. Downstairs has some cool gifts and nice clothes, but it's the third-floor you really want to visit. The whole room is lined with board-racks housing everything from Bob and Ben McTavish to Ryan Lovelace - as well as local shapers like Vampirate and Moonshine - just to name a few. If you love cool boards as much as we do, it's easy to lose hours in this place. Mick, Kale and the team do a great job pairing you with the right board and if you're based in WA and looking to experiment with your equipment, you're blessed to have access to all the options this place has in stock.
Melbourne Surf Shop

Melbourne Surf Shop

307A Victoria Rd, Thornbury VIC 3071
1300 937 873

There's so many cool things happening in and around this store. One of our personal favourites is the way Zak and his team can tee you up with a CNC routed blank and will show you how to finish it off. There's also a really solid second-hand rack which always seems to have a few gems. Aside from being a shaper, Zak is also a really experienced ding-repair-man, meaning this place has you well-covered. And the racks are full of boards - not just from big name shapers but also Zak's own designs which are top-quality, Australian made and often well-priced.
Finbox Supply Thirroul

Finbox Supply Thirroul

1/269 Lawrence Hargrave Drive Thirroul NSW Australia

This place isn't just a cool surf-shop, it puts out epic food and coffee as well. As a surfer it's hard to imagine a more idyllic morning than going for a wave, then grabbing one of their elite toasties and having a look through the board-racks. Chris does an incredible job of curating their stock, with a mix of international alternative shapers alongside south coast classics like Mick Mackie, and Josh Keogh. This place is one of those rare-shops it seems worth travelling just to visit.
The Fibreglass Shop Hobart

The Fibreglass Shop Hobart

202-204 Argyle St, Hobart TAS 7000
(03) 6234 2177

The Fibreglass Shop is a Tasmanian board-building stalwart. This place doesn't just stock everything you need to make or repair a board, it's got local shaper and all-round legend Josh Overgaauw on staff and happy to give you advice. Josh has been experimenting with Thompson Fins from the start and has a quad model we've worked up together. There aren't many people who are into their fins enough to listen to us talk about tank-test results, CFD, toe-in settings and low-Reynolds number foils but Josh is one of them.
